Lecturer Bio

Chris Mawson is a fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis and a supervising psychoanalyst with the British Psychoanalytical Society. He is the editor of several books on the work of Wilfred Bion including The Complete works of W. R. Bion (Karnac Books, 2014) and Bion Today (Routledge, 2010). He is also in private practice. He combines his knowledge of Bion’s theory with his own experiences of private practice on this course.

Nicola Abel-Hirsch is a fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis and a training and supervising analyst with the British Psychoanalytical Society. She has authored several articles and books about Wilfred Bion, most recently: Bion: 365 Quotes (Routledge, 2017). She was a visiting Professor at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex from 2013-2015.
